Vegan Croûtes

[Garnishings for Onion Soup - Croûtes - Hard-toasted French Bread]

...this is just a little intermediary recipe between the Onion Soup one and the Soupe à L'Oignon Gratinée...

...you just take some slices of vegan French bread and bake until dried out - then add some olive oil and bake some more...

Croûtes au Fromage

...then for Croûtes au Fromage - you just add some Swiss cheese and brown under a hot broiler...

Substitutions:
Daiya chees for the Swiss Cheese
Vegan French Bread
